Description:

The ceremony took place on the 24th June 1930. Rabbi Israel Friedman from Chortkov gave a speech. The photograph was taken from the side of the portico with columns to the balcony of the Academy, situated on Lubartowska Street. Visible rectors of Chachmei Lublin Yeshiva (Rabbinical - Talmudic Academy in Lublin). Rabbis are holding black and white flag of the Academy of the Sages of Lublin, completed with golden and blue embroidery. It is also possible to see Hebrew letters on the building of the Academy. The building of the Yeshiva was built in Eclectic style, but also has Neo-Baroque features. It was designed by Agenor Smoluchowski.
