Description:The synagogue in Volpa (Belarus), about 40 kilometres from Hrodna, was built in the middle of the 17th century. It was considered to be the most beautiful wooden synagogue in Eastern Europe. During World War II, in 1941, the temple was burned down by the occupying German army. ; The model was made by Poligon Studio on commission from the “Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre” Centre in Lublin (Poland) asa part of the Shtetl Routes project.
