A note by Tadeusz Sikorski: “After the death of my father Stanisław Stankiewicz who was arrested by District Office of Public Security in Warsaw on August 6, 1947 for the membership in the Home Army and WiN (the “Freedom and Independence' Association”), and killed during the investigation. Mourning visible on the scout’s cross.” ; Tadeusz Stankiewicz als Schüler der 4. Klasse des Gymnasiums in Sterdyń Podlaski und Gruppenleiter der 11. Pfadfindergruppe „Władysław Sikorski” der Pfadfinder in Sokołów Podlaski, August/September 1947. Tadeusz Stankiewicz merkte zu dem Foto an: Das Foto wurde erst nach dem Tod meines Vaters gemacht. Er wurde vom WUBP (dem kommunistischen Geheimdienst) in Warschau am 6. August 1947 wegen seiner Beteiligung in der AK und WiN (polnische Widerstandskampfgruppen) gefangen genommen und während der Ermittlungen ermordet. Auf dem Pfadfinderabzeichen kann man den Trauerflor erkennen.
