Description:

The Letters to Henio project was initiated on April 19, 2005 on the occasion of the Holocaust Remembrance and Prevention of Crimes Against Humanity Day. Over the last 15 years, the project has become one of the core activities of the “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre with regard to the memory of the Lublin Jews. Thousands of letters to the small Jewish boy have been sent by young people from Lublin, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Israel and the United States. The project has received numerous mentions in the media in Poland and abroad and has become an integral part of extracurricular education as a model of memory work related to the Holocaust. This publication is a summary of the last fifteen years of the project.
